In attesa dell’uscita nelle sale italiane il 2 aprile 2020, è stato pubblicato il primo singolo ufficiale dalla colonna sonora di Trolls World Tour. Il brano si intitola The Other Side e a interpretarlo sono nientemeno che SZA e Justin Timberlake Disponibile sulle piattaforme digitali, la canzone è accompagnata dal videoclip ispirato ai video Hip Hop degli Anni Novanta con inquadratura delle due superstar attraverso un fisheye.

A firmare la traccia è lo stesso Timberlake affiancato da Ludwig Göransson (entrambi anche alla produzione), Max Martin, Sarah Aarons e Solana Rowe. “Ero così emozionata di essere stata invitata a prendere parte a questo progetto con Justin – racconta SZA – è stato entusiasmante condividere il processo creativo con lui e con tutto il team. Questa energia si può ritrovare sia nella canzone che nel videoclip.”

Le fa eco Justin Timberlake: “È stato un processo così divertente, scrivere e produrre per questo progetto. Creare qualcosa che serve sì al film ma al tempo stesso che possa esistere come progetto a se stante è stata una sfida, resa ancora più eccitante dalla possibilità di lavorare con tutti gli altri fantastici artisti che ci hanno aiutato a mettere insieme tutto questo.”

Riunire insieme creativi di varie discipline e generi è stata la cosa che più mi ha gratificato.
